Project: Femicare+
The week began with a significant milestone — the launch of the iBreast Device under our Femicare+ Project at Privaram Cancer Hospital.
The iBreast device is an innovative, non-invasive screening technology designed for early breast cancer detection through mass screening. This initiative strengthens our commitment to making affordable and accessible screening services available to women, especially in semi-urban and rural communities.
Early detection dramatically increases survival rates, and technology-driven screening tools like iBreast are powerful weapons in the fight against breast cancer.

Under Project Shakthi, we conducted a cancer awareness session at Govt HR Secondary School in Poochi Athimedu, Thiruvallur.
The session focused on:
Importance of early detection
Breast and cervical cancer awareness
Mammogram and Pap smear screening benefits
Healthy lifestyle habits
Breaking myths and stigma surrounding cancer
Engaging young students ensures that awareness spreads within families and communities, creating a ripple effect of prevention.

Beneficiaries: 11 Participants
At the Panchayat Office in Veppampattu, our team conducted a focused awareness session addressing the importance of timely screening and preventive healthcare.
Though the gathering was small, the impact was meaningful. Each participant received clear guidance on recognizing early symptoms, understanding risk factors, and seeking timely medical support.

On the same day, we reached 95 students at Govt HR Secondary School, Veppampattu. The session emphasized:
Self-breast examination techniques
The life-saving role of mammograms
Cervical cancer prevention through Pap smear screening
HPV vaccine awareness
Importance of removing fear and hesitation around screening
Youth awareness is critical in transforming future health outcomes.
