Kalpavriksham Trust successfully conducted six impactful cancer awareness and screening initiatives across Chennai, Sriperumbudur, and Madurantakam during the week of 6th July to 12th July 2026. Through awareness sessions and free cancer screening camps, the Trust reached 223 beneficiaries, reinforcing its commitment to promoting early detection and cancer prevention.
The week began with a Cancer Awareness Talk under Project Shakthi at Sew Eurodrive, Sriperumbudur, on 7th July 2026. The session witnessed the participation of 93 employees, who were educated about common cancers, warning signs, lifestyle modifications, and the importance of routine health screening. The programme encouraged participants to adopt healthier lifestyles and seek timely medical consultation whenever needed.
As part of Project ARISE and Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust organized a series of free cancer screening camps aimed at improving access to early cancer detection services.
Under Project ARISE, a screening camp was conducted for residents of Sri Arunodayam Home. A total of 24 women underwent free iBreastExam screenings, helping identify individuals who may require further medical evaluation.

A total of 32 beneficiaries received cancer screening services, including 20 free iBreastExam screenings, helping increase awareness about breast cancer and the importance of regular health check-ups.
The final camp of the week served 20 beneficiaries, with 17 women undergoing free iBreastExam screenings, ensuring continued access to preventive healthcare in educational and community settings.
Throughout the week, Kalpavriksham Trust focused on delivering accessible, community-based cancer screening services while educating people about the importance of recognizing early symptoms and undergoing regular screening. The programmes encouraged women to prioritize breast and cervical health and empowered communities with knowledge that can lead to timely diagnosis and improved treatment outcomes.
Kalpavriksham Trust remains dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer through awareness, education, and early detection initiatives. By collaborating with community organizations and healthcare partners, the Trust continues to bring life-saving screening services closer to those who need them most.
