During 10th to 16th August 2026, Kalpavriksham Trust continued its commitment to cancer awareness, early detection, and community-based screening through a series of activities across Chennai and Madurantakam.
In Week #32, a total of 8 events reached 349 beneficiaries through cancer screening camps, awareness sessions, and breast cancer screening initiatives.
As part of Project Sunkalp, five cancer screening camps were conducted across Madurantakam. The camps provided community members with access to essential screening services, including iBreast examination, oral examination, and Pap smear testing.
A cancer screening camp was conducted at the Vilvarayanallur Village Panchayat Office, Madurantakam.
The camp focused on encouraging individuals to understand the importance of regular screening and early detection.
The second screening camp was held at Madurantakam Town PHC, benefiting 34 people.
The initiative helped bring basic cancer screening closer to the local community.
At Zameen Endathur PHC, Madurantakam, a total of 20 beneficiaries participated.

A screening camp at Padalam PHC, Madurantakam, reached 37 beneficiaries.
The camp emphasized the value of identifying possible warning signs early and seeking timely medical guidance.
The fifth Project Sunkalp screening camp of the week was conducted at Irumbedu PHC, Madurantakam, with 38 beneficiaries.
These community-level screening activities continue to support the broader goal of making cancer prevention and early detection more accessible.
On 15 August 2026, Project Shakti conducted two cancer awareness sessions.
The first session was held at Sivalingapuram, KK Nagar, Chennai, reaching 38 beneficiaries.
A second awareness session was conducted at Prathyusha Engineering College, Aranvoyalkuppam, Thiruvallur, reaching 120 participants.
These awareness programmes focused on the importance of understanding cancer, recognizing potential warning signs, and taking preventive health measures. Reaching students and community members through such programmes helps build a culture where health awareness and timely consultation become part of everyday life.
On 16 August 2026, an iBreast Screening Camp was conducted under Project ARISE at Elim Glorious Revival Church, Kodambakkam, Chennai.

The camp provided an opportunity for participants to take a proactive approach toward breast and cervical cancer screening.
Across the eight events conducted during Week #32, 349 beneficiaries were reached through a combination of cancer screening and awareness activities.
The week's activities demonstrate the importance of taking cancer awareness beyond hospitals and into villages, primary health centres, educational institutions, workplaces, and local communities.
