At Kalpavriksham Trust, our mission is clear — to prevent cancer through awareness, early detection, and community engagement. The first week of January 2026 marked a strong beginning to the year, as our team successfully conducted a series of cancer awareness programs across Chennai and Thiruvallur, reaching 725 beneficiaries through 6 impactful events.
From 5th January to 11th January 2026 (Week #01), all programs were conducted under our Shakthi Project, focusing on educating communities about cancer prevention, early symptoms, screening methods, and the importance of timely medical consultation.
Our awareness sessions were organized in schools, colleges, and community spaces to ensure outreach to students, women, and the general public.

Cancer remains one of the leading causes of mortality, yet many cancers are preventable and highly treatable when detected early. Through these programs, we aim to:
Promote early screening and diagnosis
Educate communities on warning signs and symptoms
Encourage healthy lifestyle choices
Reduce fear and stigma associated with cancer
Our outreach to educational institutions ensures that young adults become informed ambassadors of preventive health in their families and communities.

Week 01 of 2026 reflects our continued commitment to reaching underserved populations and expanding cancer awareness across Tamil Nadu. With the support of our partners, volunteers, and donors, we will continue to strengthen our preventive healthcare initiatives in the weeks ahead.
Prevention saves lives — and together, we can make early detection accessible to all.
