At Kalpavriksham Trust, our mission of “Solving the Cancer Crisis” continues with unwavering commitment. During Week #50 (08th–14th December 2025), we successfully conducted 5 impactful programs, reaching a total of 308 beneficiaries through cancer awareness and screening initiatives across Chennai and Thiruvallur districts.
A major focus of the week was cancer awareness under the Shakthi Project, aimed at educating communities about early detection, prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.
09th December 2025
A Cancer Awareness Talk was conducted at Measi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, George Town, Chennai, benefiting 173 students and staff. The session emphasized the importance of early detection, breast cancer awareness, cervical cancer screening, and the HPV vaccine.
10th December 2025
Another awareness session was held at Kilambakkam Village, Ikkadu, Thiruvallur, reaching 46 participants. The talk focused on mammograms, Pap smear tests, and the need for regular health check-ups.
13th December 2025
Two Cancer Awareness Talks were organized on the same day:
1.At Kakakandigai, Puliyur, Thiruvallur, benefiting 32 participants
2.At Puliyur-Kandigai, near Saibaba Kovil, Thiruvallur, benefiting 18 participants
These sessions addressed common myths about cancer, early symptoms, screening methods, and preventive care
Under the Femicare Project, we conducted a dedicated Cancer Screening Camp:
11th December 2025
A Cancer Screening Camp was organized at the Panchayat Council Office Campus, Vengadu, Sriperumbudur, where 39 beneficiaries underwent screening services. The camp reinforced the importance of timely diagnosis in improving treatment outcomes.
