At Kalpavriksham Trust, our mission to solve the cancer crisis continues through consistent community outreach and awareness programs. During Week #02, from 12th to 18th January 2026, we successfully conducted two Cancer Awareness Talks under the Shakthi Project, reaching a total of 42 beneficiaries in Thiruvallur district.
Both sessions were held on 13th January 2026 at:
Nathamedu Village, Thiruvallur – 15 participants
Nathamedu Panchayat Office, Thiruvallur – 27 participants
These programs focused on educating participants about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices. Special emphasis was given to breast and cervical cancer awareness, highlighting the role of mammogram and Pap smear screenings in saving lives through early diagnosis.
The sessions were designed to be interactive and easy to understand, ensuring that every participant could clearly grasp:
Common symptoms of cancer
Available screening methods
Preventive measures and healthy habits
The importance of regular medical check-ups
By simplifying complex medical information, we aimed to remove fear and hesitation around cancer screening and encourage timely action.

We sincerely thank our community members, volunteers, and partners for their active participation and continued support. Every awareness session brings us one step closer to a healthier and cancer-aware society.
At Kalpavriksham Trust, we strongly believe that “Prevention Saves Life.” Together, we can create lasting impact through education, early detection, and compassion.
Join us in saving lives and spreading awareness.
