Kalpavriksham Trust continued its mission of creating healthier and more informed communities through a series of impactful initiatives conducted between 20th and 26th October 2025. Under the Project Shakthi initiative, the Trust organized four major awareness sessions, reaching over 145 beneficiaries across different locations in Chennai and Thiruvallur.
A series of Cancer Awareness Talks were conducted at:
Mooligai Thottom, Kannamma Nagar, Thiruvallur (23rd Oct)
Kalainar Nagar, Pandeeshwaram (24th Oct)
Methodist Tamil Church, Vepery (25th Oct)
Each session focused on early detection and prevention of breast and cervical cancers, emphasizing the importance of mammogram and Pap smear screenings. Participants were also educated on self-breast examination techniques and the benefits of the HPV vaccine in preventing cervical cancer. The interactive discussions helped dispel myths and encouraged women to take proactive steps toward their health.
On 25th October, Kalpavriksham Trust hosted an inspiring “Women’s Safety - Speaker Meeting” at Privaram Cancer Hospital, Valasaravakkam, featuring Advocate M. Vidhyalakshmi. The session, attended by 50+ participants, provided valuable insights into laws ensuring women’s protection and safety, helping them understand their legal rights and available safeguards. The event underscored Kalpavriksham’s commitment to holistic empowerment-addressing not only physical health but also social and legal awareness.
Through these initiatives, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to extend its reach and impact, fostering a culture of awareness, early detection, and empowerment. Every session is a step toward building healthier communities and a safer, more informed society.
