In a remarkable show of solidarity, the Indian Navy Family Women came together to form a human chain and a symbolic cancer ribbon, standing united in the fight against cancer. This meaningful gesture reflected their strength, compassion, and commitment to spreading awareness about women’s health and cancer prevention.
The Cancer Screening and Awareness Event was held at INS Pallava, Kalpakkam, on 17th October 2025, organized by Kalpavriksham Trust in collaboration with Privaram Cancer Hospital. The initiative aimed to promote breast cancer awareness, cervical cancer screening, and the importance of early detection in saving lives.
The program featured an inspiring Cancer Awareness Talk by Dr. M. Banu Priya (Founder, Privaram Cancer Hospital & Kalpavriksham Trust) and Dr. L. Manikandan (Managing Director, Privaram Cancer Hospital & CEO, Kalpavriksham Trust). Both speakers emphasized the need for regular screenings, healthy lifestyle habits, and awareness about the HPV vaccine, which plays a vital role in preventing cervical cancer.
