Kalpavriksham Trust, in collaboration with the SunKalp Cancer Care Project, an initiative of Sun Pharma, officially launched Mega Cancer Screening Project to screen 10,000 Benefiaries in Madurantakam Taluk, Chengalpattu District.
The event was graced by the Chief Guests, Mr. C. Sugendran, B.E., Commissioner, Madurantakam Corporation, and Dr. D. N. Satish Kumar, M.B.B.S., M.D., District Health Officer, Chengalpattu District. The Guests of Honour included Mrs. Malar Vizhi, M.A., Nagara Mandra Thalaivar, Madurantakam Nagarachi; Mr. K. Madan, CSR Lead, Sun Pharma, Madurantakam; Dr. P. Yogananth, Medical Unit Head, Sun Pharma Community Healthcare Society, Madurantakam; Dr. M. Banupriya, Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist, Founder and Chairperson of Privaram Cancer Hospital, and Founder and President of Kalpavriksham Trust; Dr. L. Manikandan, Senior Surgical Oncologist, CEO and Managing Director of Privaram Cancer Hospital, and CEO of Kalpavriksham Trust; and Mrs. Shanthi, Project Manager, Kalpavriksham Trust.
As part of the program, Dr. M. Banupriya delivered an informative awareness session highlighting the importance of the early detection, prevention, and screening of breast, cervical, and oral cancers. Approximately 100 sanitation workers participated in the session.
