Project Sunkalp | Camp KVT-MDTK-027 | 06.08.2026
31 people from Karikili Pettai came together with one shared goal: to put their health first before illness had the chance to take hold.
At the Project Sunkalp cancer screening camp held at the Panchayat Office, Karikili Pettai, Madurantakam, we provided essential cancer screening services to both women and men:
26 clinical breast examinations
30 oral cancer examinations
8 Pap smear screenings
Cancer screening isn't only about finding disease—it's about preventing advanced disease through early action. Breast, cervical, and oral cancers often develop without obvious symptoms, making regular screening one of the most effective ways to save lives.
This camp also highlighted an important message: cancer awareness is for everyone. While women accessed breast and cervical cancer screening, both men and women participated in oral cancer examinations, reinforcing that early detection benefits the entire community.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust is taking preventive healthcare beyond hospital walls and into villages across Madurantakam. By bringing screening services closer to people's homes, we reduce barriers such as travel, cost, and lack of access—ensuring that more families receive timely care.
Every screening camp is a step towards building healthier communities and a future where cancer is detected early, treated promptly, and prevented whenever possible.
Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan. We provide transparent, camp-wise impact reports for every CSR partnership.
