Early detection begins with awareness, and every screening brings us closer to a healthier community!
As part of Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust organised a cancer screening camp at Padalam Primary Health Centre (PHC), Madurantakam, bringing essential preventive healthcare and early detection services closer to the local community.
A total of 50 beneficiaries, including 23 men and 27 women, participated in the camp, taking a proactive step towards better health and well-being.
Screening Highlights:
19 iBreast Examinations
50 Oral Examinations
1 Positive Skin-Related Screening Finding
One positive screening finding was identified in the skin-related category, highlighting the importance of recognising suspicious skin changes, seeking timely medical consultation, and undergoing further evaluation. A positive screening result does not necessarily confirm cancer but requires appropriate medical follow-up.
The participation of both men and women reflects growing awareness about the importance of preventive healthcare. Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to address healthcare accessibility challenges in rural communities by promoting regular cancer screening, early detection, and timely medical attention.
Every screening counts, every individual matters, and early detection can make a life-changing difference.
In collaboration with PHCs, local communities, healthcare professionals, and CSR partners, we remain committed to expanding access to cancer screening services across Madurantakam and Chengalpattu District.
Would your PHC, village, panchayat, school, organisation, or workplace like to host a cancer screening camp? get in touch with us. Together, we can bring preventive healthcare closer to every community.
