A healthy workplace begins with people who are encouraged to prioritise their health.
As part of Project Sunkalp, a cancer screening camp was conducted at Pearl Global Company, Madurantakam, bringing preventive healthcare and early detection services closer to employees.
A total of 63 beneficiaries participated in the screening, including 11 men and 52 women.
The camp provided:
• 52 iBreast Examinations
• 63 Oral Examinations
• 27 Pap Smear Tests
The camp also identified 2 screening findings requiring further medical evaluation, including 1 gynaecological finding and 1 breast screening finding. These are screening findings and do not by themselves confirm a cancer diagnosis. Appropriate medical consultation and follow-up are important for further assessment.
The participation of 52 women highlights the importance of accessible breast and cervical cancer screening in the workplace. Bringing screening services closer to employees can help reduce barriers such as time, distance, cost, and limited awareness.
Cancer may not always show noticeable warning signs in its early stages. Regular screening can help identify suspicious changes early and encourage timely medical consultation and follow-up.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to work with workplaces, PHCs, local communities, healthcare professionals, and CSR partners to expand access to cancer screening across Madurantakam.
Early detection can make a difference. Let’s make preventive healthcare a part of every workplace and every community.
Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan, with transparent camp-wise impact reporting for CSR partnerships.
