A healthy workplace begins with people who are encouraged to prioritise their health.
As part of Project Sunkalp, a cancer screening camp was conducted at Pearl Global Company, Madurantakam, bringing preventive healthcare and early detection services closer to employees.
A total of 69 beneficiaries participated in the screening, including 16 men and 53 women.
The camp provided:
• 52 iBreast Examinations
• 69 Oral Examinations
• 30 Pap Smear Tests
Cancer may not always show noticeable warning signs in its early stages. Regular screening can help identify suspicious changes early and encourage timely medical consultation and follow-up.
The participation of 53 women highlights the importance of making breast and cervical cancer screening accessible within the workplace. Workplace screening camps can help employees prioritise preventive healthcare alongside their daily responsibilities.
For many people, barriers such as time, cost, distance, or limited awareness can make regular screening difficult. Project Sunkalp works to reduce these barriers by bringing cancer screening services directly to workplaces and communities.
Every person who participates in a screening camp takes a proactive step towards understanding and protecting their health. These initiatives also create opportunities to build awareness about prevention, early detection, healthy lifestyle choices, and timely medical attention.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to work with workplaces, PHCs, local communities, healthcare professionals, and CSR partners to expand access to cancer screening across Madurantakam.
Early detection can make a difference. Let’s make preventive healthcare a part of every workplace and every community.
