Cancer Screening Camp at Soonambedu PHC, Madurantakam on 10-09-2026

As part of Project Sunkalp, a cancer screening camp was conducted on 10 September 2026, providing accessible preventive healthcare and early cancer detection services to the community.

A total of 57 beneficiaries were screened, including 21 men and 36 women.

The camp included:

• 30 iBreast Examinations
• 57 Oral Examinations
• 3 Pap Smear Tests

Cancer can sometimes develop without obvious symptoms in its early stages. Regular screening can help identify suspicious changes earlier and encourage timely medical evaluation and follow-up.

For many communities, access to specialised healthcare can be affected by distance, cost, time, or lack of awareness. Project Sunkalp is working to bring cancer screening closer to people, making preventive healthcare more accessible at the community level.

Every screening is more than a health check—it is an opportunity to understand the importance of prevention, recognise potential warning signs, and encourage families to make early detection a priority.
