46 people from Vilvarayanallur Village came together to take one important step towards protecting their health: early cancer screening.
At the Project Sunkalp cancer screening camp held at the Panchayat Office, Vilvarayanallur Village, Madurantakam, both women and men from the community participated in the screening:
38 clinical breast examinations
45 oral cancer examinations
14 Pap smear screenings
With 39 women and 7 men participating, the camp highlighted an important message: cancer awareness and early detection are a community responsibility. Everyone deserves access to screening, regardless of gender or where they live.
Cancer can develop silently, without obvious symptoms. Regular screening helps identify suspicious changes at an early stage, when timely treatment can make a significant difference. A simple examination today can potentially prevent a much more serious health challenge tomorrow.
