Kalpavriksham Trust, in collaboration with Privaram Cancer Hospital, successfully organized a cancer screening camp at Greater Chennai Corporation-Zonal XI Office, Valasaravakkam under the banner of Project Femicare+. This impactful initiative was made possible through the generous support of Mr. V. Raghavan, Retired Professor, IIT Delhi, in loving memory of his wife, Mrs. Nirupama Raghavan, a brilliant Indian astrophysicist who lost her life to breast cancer in 2007. Through his continued contributions, Mr. Raghavan transforms personal loss into purpose, bringing preventive healthcare and hope to countless lives. His gesture is a glowing tribute to Mrs. Nirupama Raghavan, whose light continues to guide others, even in her absence. We extend our heartfelt gratitude and salute their inspiring legacy. The camp delivered essential preventive healthcare services to the local community, benefiting 75 individuals. This included 50 mammogram screenings, 45 Pap smear tests and 02 HPV Vaccine, aimed at early detection and raising health awareness, particularly among women from vulnerable groups. This initiative underscores a sustained commitment to promoting accessible healthcare and empowering communities with timely diagnostic services that can truly make a life-saving difference.
