Building Partnerships. Empowering Students. Advancing Cancer Awareness.
A meaningful new collaboration is taking shape to connect education, research, data science, cancer awareness, and community engagement.
On September 8, 2026, the Department of Bioinformatics, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kalpavriksham Trust and Privaram Cancer and Research Institute.
The partnership aims to create opportunities for students to gain practical exposure to cancer awareness, prevention, research, and data-driven healthcare initiatives.
As part of this collaboration, the Student Ambassador Program will empower bioinformatics students to become informed community health leaders. Through training in cancer awareness, prevention, and data literacy, students will be encouraged to share reliable health information and contribute to community-focused initiatives.
At Kalpavriksham Trust, we believe that the fight against cancer goes beyond treatment. Awareness, prevention, research, education, and community participation are equally important in creating lasting impact.
Together, we are building a bridge between science and service, education and action, and students and communities—working towards a healthier and more informed future.
